- The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) is the premier trade organization of the principal U.S. airlines. ATA members transport more than 90 percent of all U.S. airline passenger and cargo traffic.
- International Air Transport Association IATA is an international trade body, created over 60 years ago by a group of airlines. Today, IATA represents some 250 airlines comprising 94% of the international scheduled air traffic. The organisation also represents, leads and serves the airline industry in general. .

- Arab Air Carriers Organization AACO is the regional association of the Arab Airlines.
- Association of European Airlines AEA is a trade organisation representing 27 European airlines.
